Introduction
With the sources and evidence that I have gathered, I will be convincing you that the Library of Alexandria was a great place, that housed scholarly writings from all over the Greek world. I will also be presenting you with the theory that, I believe, best explains "What happened to the library of Alexandria?".
Most people agree that the Library or at least parts of the collection, were destroyed on quite a few different occasions, however, stories of the library's destruction or, gradual destruction, have been discussed for hundreds of years, and are still a topic of controversy, based on questionable evidence.
